What we set out to solve
Charity golf tournaments live or die on logistics. Sponsors need a clear path from "interested" to "paid sponsor" without friction. Golfers need to register their teams, pick their format, and pay directly from their phone between meetings. Donors need a way to contribute without being forced to also register for the event. The organizing committee needs a back-office that's simple enough to manage during tournament week when everyone is busy.
On top of that, the site needed to look polished enough to represent a $5,000-$100,000 sponsorship ask. This isn't a weekend bake sale. It's a serious fundraiser benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Central Arkansas, and the site had to signal that level of legitimacy.
How we solved it
We built the site on WordPress with WooCommerce powering the commerce layer. Rather than treating sponsorships as generic products, we structured each sponsorship tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium) as a distinct product with its own benefit package and pricing. This makes it easy for sponsors to compare options and for organizers to track what each sponsor receives.
Team registration is handled as a separate product flow. Golfers can register a full foursome or individual players without needing to navigate the sponsor path. Donations run as a third, simpler flow designed for quick one-time contributions from donors who aren't attending.
Elementor provides the page-building foundation, letting the committee update event details, sponsor logos, and tournament schedule without developer intervention. The theme was tailored to reinforce the tournament's identity: professional enough for corporate sponsors, accessible enough for first-time donors.
What we delivered
The site serves as the central hub for the annual PerfectVision Golf Classic, handling sponsorship sales across five tiers, team registrations, and donation processing. 100% of proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Central Arkansas, a commitment reinforced throughout the site copy.
The WooCommerce back-end gives the organizing committee visibility into sponsor sales, registration status, and donation totals in real time, without requiring technical skill. Each year's event can be updated in-place with new sponsors, new dates, and new schedules, all without needing to rebuild the site.
Under the hood
Built on WordPress with WooCommerce for commerce, Elementor for page layout, custom post types for sponsors and event details, and payment gateway integration for donations and registrations. The Golfex theme with a child theme accommodates custom styling without compromising update paths. ElementsKit adds complementary design components used throughout the site.
